~19W Bump~

19 week update - Feeling great!  Fatigue hits me hard every now and then but it's not unbearable like it was in the 1st trimester.  My appetite disappeared for a few weeks but nowadays I'm eating ALL the time - today I brought 2 lunches to work and ate one at 10:30ish, lol.  I'm still hungry but am stopping myself from eating the second one before 12:00. haha.  I feel movements that still feel like bubbling/popping mostly while I am eating & right after.  Baby must be really excited to get some food :)  I am waking up at least 2 times in the middle of the night now to go pee.  Ugh.  I miss sleeping through the night, lol. I go in for my level 2 ultrasound tomorrow, here's to hoping that everything is a-ok!

A/S

We had our anatomy scan yesterday!  It was great seeing our little one on the screen.  The tech said Webby is a big baby and measuring a week ahead (19w2d when I was 18w) and weighing in at 10 ounces!  She also said that Webby is an active baby, which the midwife says at every appointment because we can hear lots of movements on the doppler.

So.....the verdict is in!  We are officially members of Team.........................

BLUE!!!!!

Can't wait to meet our little man in May!

XOXOXOXO

Update & 17w2d Bump

Wow, haven't updated in awhile!  I am now 17w5d and feeling great.  The morning sickness is gone and I am feeling more like myself every day.  I never believed the people who told me one day you would wake up and the morning sickness would be gone, but I am so happy they were right!!!  The fatigue hasn't been as bad either and there are some days where I don't feel pregnant at all.  During week 16 I felt what I thought was movement but I'm not completely positive.  It felt like something was scratching me behind my belly button.  It only happened once that I can recall.  However, on the day I turned 17 weeks exactly, I definitely felt the "fluttering" feeling that everyone talks about.  For me, it feels more like bubbles and/or popcorn popping than fluttering but I've been able to feel it every day since then & it's wonderful :)  We go in this Tuesday (18w) for the anatomy scan and I can't wait!  I am still guessing that it's a girl and hoping that Webby cooperates so we are able to find out for sure! :)

Here is a picture of my 17w2d bump (please excuse the dirty mirror):

So In Love

We had our NT ultrasound today and got to see our little one!  He/She was in the wrong position so the tech had me lay on my side to make Webby roll over.  Once Webby woke up we could see him/her randomly moving around.  The tech said everything for the NT scan looked great.

I can't stop staring at the pictures.  I am already so in love! <3

12 Weeks

  • Most of her critical systems are fully formed!
  • She's about to enter the growth and maturation stage, in which her organs and tissues will grow and develop rapidly.
  • She's now developing her reflexes -- if you poke her body, she'll likely move.
  • She's opening and closing her fingers and curling her toes, too.
  • Her brain is developing fast!

Whoosh, Whoosh, Woosh

I had my 1st official appointment yesterday with my CNM.  She went over my blood work, which all came back great, and I found out my blood type is O+ so I won't need to get the RH- shot.  After going over my blood work and doing a breast exam, where she found a lump that I need to get checked via ultrasound next week, she said "Let's see if we can hear this little one's heart beat!  It's like looking for a needle in a haystack!"  She said that it might take a bit to find it, so she put the gel on the doppler wand, felt around for my uterus (which is now above my pubic bone!) put it on my stomach, moved it once and WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH - the best sound in the world!!!! The heart beat was so strong and perfect.  She said everything sounded good.  We could also hear Webby moving around because there was a lot of banging coming through the doppler.  It was great.  She said I have an active one in there and that it must be a girl because girls are always cooperative - we'll see if she is right!

I am scheduled for my NT scan on 11/3/11 - I can't wait to see Webby moving all around in there <3

2nd Belly Pic

I am officially 11 weeks today, so I decided to take another belly pic.  It's only been 4 days since my last belly pic but I feel like my belly already looks different...or maybe it's just the pants I have on today. lol.

  • Her skin is see-through, but she's on her way to looking more like a baby.
  • Her fingers and toes aren't webbed anymore.
  • Tooth buds, hair follicles and nail beds are forming.
